Compressed files are streamed back immediately and temporary files are removed from the server.

Picnexa is designed for short-lived processing jobs: upload, transform, download, and clean up.

Does compression remove metadata?

Yes. The backend writes optimized output without preserving camera metadata by default.

What quality setting is best?

A quality value around 80 to 85 is a good starting point for JPEG and WebP images.

Can compression resize the image?

Yes. Set a maximum width or height and Picnexa will resize inside those bounds without enlarging the image.
